There’s a trend on social media where people post things that don’t belong to them to tell people that that is the life they are living, which drives the youth into unhealthy competitions.
The true life that Jesus expects us to live is a life of holiness. A life of presenting yourself, just as you are. Living a pretentious life is very costly, this includes boasting, feeling superior to others, or pretending to fit in, even though you are not there.
Godliness with contentment is a great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). A life of holiness and contentment, where people are satisfied with what they have, is more valuable.
When you are content with what you have, you have peace, even though you might not have everything you want.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want, means that you might not have everything you want, but in every situation, you are content with what you have, and that He who guides is faithful.
A life of God’s grace is more valuable than faking it until you make it.
Fake it, until you make it.
