We strive to purify ourselves before approaching Him. We attempt to fix our flaws, hide our mess, and earn His approval through good behavior. But this approach flips the Gospel upside down.
The truth is, you don’t change so He can love you. He loves you, so you can change.
“We love him because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19).
A Love, That Finds You Where You Are.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God didn’t wait for you to become better, more spiritual, or more put-together before loving you. His love wasn’t a response to your effort. It was a gift poured out while you were still broken.
God’s love doesn’t demand transformation before acceptance. God’s love meets you exactly where you are—ashamed, confused, lost, addicted, angry, doubting, or distant. His love doesn’t come in terms and conditions. It simply comes.
His Love Is the Starting Point, Not the Reward.
We often live as if God’s love is a prize for holy living. But the Gospel says God’s love is the power that makes holy living possible. You don’t begin the journey of transformation to get God’s approval—you begin it because you already have it.
When you know you’re fully loved, even in your worst state, something shifts in your heart. You no longer strive to be worthy; you begin to walk in the worth that His love gives. That’s the kind of love that changes people, not pressure, not shame, but grace.
Real love doesn’t just comfort—it transforms (it disciplines). God’s love doesn’t leave you in your brokenness. It lifts you, it renews your mind, heals your wounds, and reshapes your desires to be more like him.

In a world where love often feels conditional—based on performance, perfection, or pretense—it’s easy to carry that same mindset into…

[1

post-377","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
